Yeah, Why Not??

Came across an interesting article on the Death of Bin Laden where the question was posed “Why Didn’t We Capture the Terrorist Kingpin and Interrogate Him?” which I think is a very valid point. Why, when the establishment is busy trying to sell torture as a valid way of procuring information from ‘enemy combatants’ is the leader of Al-Qaida, a man who (if he really was what the US says he was) would have knowledge of countless plots against the US and people abroad, shot in the head and his body dumped at sea, as is Islamic traditionso extremists can’t rally around his grave site, so we can’t prove they didn’t shoot him someone. And the only proof of his death is a photo apparently too gruesome (more gruesome than Abu-ghraib, pictures of the effects of Depleted Uranium babies, charredAmericans hanging from strings) and on first try too fake, may put Americans at further
risk If, as is claimed, the US has techniques useful in getting uncooperative individuals to spill their guts, why were they not used on Bin Laden to at least attempt to foil other plots he has in the works. The US could have put him on trial, as was customary before the patriot act, and sentence him to death, as was done with Saddam. Instead, a man who was never properly charged with the crime of 9/11, never confessed to 9/11 (unless you count the ‘fat Bin Laden’ video) and who was described by countless intelligence officials to be in almost complete renal failure in 2001/2002 or already dead, shot by US forces, this week, in a bloody firefight (sources in the area report no shots were firedhiding behind his wife, dying a martyr, just in time to boost Obama’s failing approvalrating, and to prove that extra-judicial assassinations aren’t always botched like the recent attempt on the life of the Libyan leader which saw the murder of his son and three (under 12) grandchildren. And of course you have that unbelievably fake birth certificate released while the Whitehouse Photoshop experts were apparently on vacation. And of course there is Ben Bernanke, who held a press conference to tell the world that the US would continue to devalue its currency, while continuing to flood the market with cheep dollars causing already inflated prices to rise farther, not to mention the price of oil inflated both by the low value of the dollar and all the BS going on in the Middle east The Whitehouse could ill afford for US citizens to discover Bin Laden had been dead for years, only to have his ghost dragged out at opportune times for US diplomats to save face when faced with their complete incompetence. We also have to keep in mind that if people aren’t afraid they wont stand to be groped by TSA, submit to random (useless) searches on trains, in stadiums, and on the street. Also, I don’t know how the parents of the over 3000 Americans killed in this illegal war, died so that the oil companies were able to install critical infrastructure for the US to leach Oil off the Middle east, at the cost of all Americans, and to the profit of a few, albeit highly connected individuals, some of which just happen to be US congressmen or senators.

The following video is probably one of the most heartbreaking things I have seen, maybe ever. If you can stomach it, take a look. (not gruesome, just tragic)
These are the lost children of Chernobyl. Sentenced to live their lives trapped in their defective bodies, made that way because of our mistakes. These children have suffered, and will continue to suffer, likely for the majority of their existence. Who will take responsibility for what has happened to these children, not the Nuclear Industry/Lobby. I could never wish this fate on any child but poetic justice, or Karma may have something in mind for those singing nuclear technologies praises. Although, more likely, as with Chernobyl, the innocent will suffer. After all, these are just innocent children whose parents lived to close to this disaster. I wonder if they could, would they blame us for their suffering.
Is this our future?

Okay, if there wasn’t video footage of this incident I don’t know that people would have believed this guy, assuming of course he has much memory of what happened. The video below shows a man struck by lightning not once, but TWICE, within the space of about a minute.
I’m not really sure what the odds are on that, but maybe this will finally prove that the age old saying regarding lightning not striking the same place twice is a total myth.
(Some of the comments in youtube are claiming this video is fake (which is almost as common place as “first”), so judge for yourselves)
